Good grief, what a day I've had in the studio. Before I added the band this ring had an outer bezel/frame and a tube setting for a lovely pink tourmaline. First the drilled copper piece unsoldered when I added the band, then the outer bezel/frame came off after I replaced the copper piece. I decided to patina and set the stone anyhow, since I like the design with out the frame, and the tube setting came off while setting the stone. Similar scenario with a pendant I worked on for two hours today. I don't get it, I've made a bunch of these designs with no problems. April Fool's Day, indeed.
