15/365 egg

This egg comes from one of three Japanese Bantam hens that I once kept free ranging in my backyard. The egg was part of All Her Eggs in One Basket, a piece that I created for the Venus Envy art show in Memphis in 2004.

I have written the following quotations on the surface:

“When you start with a portrait and try to find pure form by abstracting more and more, you must end up with an egg.” - Pablo Picasso

“I hope some animal never bores a hole in my head and lays its eggs in my brain, because later you might think you're having a good idea but it's just eggs hatching.” - Jack Handey

“When arguing with a stone an egg is always wrong” - African Proverb
